- ➤ Snipes H3, a nonprofit in Kennewick established in 2023, offers a structured program for young adults facing homelessness that includes housing, mentorship and classes—covering cleaning, study halls, guest speakers and volunteer work. - ➤ Kori Cannon, a kindergarten teacher at Westgate Elementary, has been named the Kennewick School District's 2026 Crystal Apple Award winner for her community impact + teaching excellence. - ➤ Tri-Tech Skills Center in Kennewick will undergo a $45.5M upgrade covering 66,000 sqft to modernize labs for welding, automotive, diesel nursing, digital arts+filmmaking and dental assisting, with renovations set to complete this fall. - ➤ Tri-Tech Skills Center in Kennewick begins a $45.5M renovation to upgrade 66,000 sqft for new lab spaces for trades, arts — and healthcare. Funded by state capital dollars and serving eight school districts, the project will complete this fall. FOX 41 Yakima
