- ➤ Pasco voters cast their ballots on Feb. 9 for a replacement school levy designed to fund school operations and maintain programs like class size, extracurricular activities, school safety & transportation. The measure, accounting for about 10 percent of the district’s budget, aimed to prevent cuts and secure state aid for schools. FOX 41 Yakima
- ➤ Voters in the Kennewick School District will vote today on two replacement levies — one to fund daily operations and student support and another to upgrade safety measures and classroom technology — that could secure an extra $66 million over four years. FOX 41 Yakima
- ➤ More than 170 FFA members will gather at River View High School CTE Center in Finley on Friday, Feb. 27 for the Lower Columbia Basin FFA Jamboree (a National FFA Week event) featuring 15 career and leadership challenges that help students prepare for the FFA Convention in Pullman in May. - ➤ Sen. Nikki Torres of Pasco is honoring the Seahawks’ historic Super Bowl season with Senate Resolution 8683, which praises the team’s discipline and community service + youth engagement.
