- ➤ Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center at 205 S. Wehe Ave. finished its first renovation phase Jan. 27, featuring upgraded plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems + new ADA-compliant restrooms, a classroom, community room and secure outdoor play area near Kurtzman Park and Virgie Robinson Elementary School. - ➤ In Kennewick, Blueberry Bridal Boutique opened in early February as the first business at Vista Field—a 103-acre former airfield now transforming into a regional town center. - ➤ Award-winning entrepreneurs Susanne and Jessie Ayala—and partner Tyler MacDonald—have taken over The Bradley near the Columbia River and will relaunch it March 18 with a new French menu. - ➤ The renovated former hospital at 900 S. Auburn St. is being transformed into the Mid-Columbia area's first inpatient behavioral health facility scheduled to open this spring.
