  • Pasco residents can bid on 50 police and private impounded vehicles at Rad Towing's auction today—March 15th—with viewing at 9 a.m. and live bidding at 11 a.m.; meanwhile, the Tri-Cities Men's Expo runs from March 14th to 15th at the HAPO Center offering free Pepsi vouchers for the first 125 arrivals and downtown Walla Walla hosts the 14th Annual Guitar Festival from March 14th to 16th with 30 bands performing from 4 to 11 p.m.  NBC Tri-Cities
  • Residents in downtown Kennewick are joining the Lucky Leprechaun Pub Crawl today to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and support Tumbleweed Cat Rescue—all proceeds help cover needed surgeries for special needs cats. ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A crash on northbound US 395 near Blue Bridge is causing delays in Kennewick—two cars were involved and some people had minor injuries—and officials are working to clear the blockage.  NBC Tri-Cities

CRIME NEWS

  • The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office solved the decades-old murder of Ivah McDonnell, who was found dead in her Pasco home on Sylvester Street in December 1971, by linking new DNA evidence to Samuel Evans (a deceased suspect with a long criminal record).  NBC Tri-Cities

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Pasco School District Superintendent Michelle Whitney hosted a Soup with the Superintendent lunch on Friday for parents, community members and employees to discuss school updates and will host another casual meeting tomorrow from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at 1215 W. Lewis St.  NBC Tri-Cities

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • At its March 14 meeting — the Pasco City Council considered a letter of agreement with the Geiger Institute to bring the Danger Assessment for Law Enforcement model to the police department for better handling of domestic violence cases. If approved, the deal will give free training and help for police and other officials to protect victims.  FOX 41 Yakima

LIFESTYLE NEWS

  • Rad Towing is hosting an abandoned vehicle auction at 505 South 28th Avenue on Saturday, March 15th with viewing starting at 9 a.m. and live bidding at 11 a.m., and the Tri-Cities Men’s Expo is held at the HAPO Center on Friday, March 14th and Saturday, March 15th with $7 tickets and free Pepsi vouchers for the first 125 attendees. Downtown Walla Walla hosts the 14th Annual Guitar Festival from March 14th to March 16th with 30 bands playing at 10 venues — offering a full weekend of live music.  FOX 41 Yakima
