- ➤ Pasco will host its annual Taco Crawl from April 18th through May 3rd, where 20 taco vendors will offer local flavors. Participants will vote for the Best Taco by 3pm on May 3rd—winners will be announced on May 4th on Facebook and all proceeds will benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs. KFLD
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Washington State University’s new president, Dr. Elizabeth 'Betsy' R. Cantwell, will start her campus tour by visiting WSU Tri-Cities on April 2 from 3:00–4:30 p.m., where she will meet with faculty, staff, and students to discuss plans for adapting to changes in research funding. This tour marks the first step in her effort to introduce new communication methods and build connections across the campuses. NBC Tri-Cities

- ➤ Drivers on Interstate 182 in west Pasco will soon see construction as the Pasco Public Facilities District approved a $40.4 million guaranteed maximum price for a new aquatics center near Broadmoor Boulevard with site work already underway. Contractors (Bouten Construction and NAC Architecture) are set to complete the project by Memorial Day 2026. Tri-Cities Area Journal of Business
- ➤ Pasco officials announced a plan to build a new bicycle and pedestrian bridge with a 6-foot sidewalk, curb, ADA curb ramps, and a shared-use path along the current Sylvester Street/Highway 395 overpass to address safety concerns due to the narrow deck—city council members will meet with the public works director on March 24th to discuss a professional services agreement for the design work. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Nestle USA recalled several Lean Cuisine and Stouffer’s frozen meals yesterday after a wood-like material was found in a product that may have caused choking (affected items have best-before dates from September to April) and (were sold at major retailers). Customers should check their labels and return any recalled products to the store where they were purchased. FOX 41 Yakima
- ➤ The Washington State Department of Health announced 10 recalls on food items including pet food and ramen noodles and urged local residents to check their cupboards for any recalled products—consumers should remove unsafe items immediately. 610 KONA
