- ➤ Leonardo Martinez, a 32-year-old Pasco man, was sentenced to 125 months in prison with five years of supervised release for trafficking fentanyl—after officers found a handgun, over 10,000 fentanyl pills and other contraband in his vehicle following a 2022 domestic disturbance. NBC Tri-Cities

- ➤ Pasco police arrested two suspects in a Hyundai Elantra on Monday, March 27 after a fight near the Burden Blvd Wingstop and erratic driving; witnesses said the pair threatened to kill others and Kennewick police later linked them to a burglary that saw stolen watches, a PS5 box, backpacks and broken televisions—officers now hold the suspects at the Franklin County Corrections Center on charges of residential burglary, malicious mischief in the 2nd degree and harassment threats. - ➤ Emily Hamilton, a fourth grade teacher at Sacajawea Elementary School, was awarded March’s Classroom Makeover from WaFd Bank after a parent nominated her for her dedication to her students. - ➤ On March 27, the Kennewick School District board filed a federal complaint arguing that state policies allowing biological men to join girls' sports teams and use locker rooms violate Title IX and limit opportunities for female students.
