- ➤ Chief Ken Roske ended a 39-year career with the Pasco Police on Friday, Mar. 27. He is celebrated for starting innovative community programs — such as early social media efforts — that built trust in the neighborhood. KFLD
- ➤ Gov. Bob Ferguson signed a law that will standardize cash transactions by rounding totals to the nearest nickel beginning mid-June; purchases ending in 1 or 2 cents round down while those ending in 8 or 9 cents round up. The measure affects only cash (electronic payments unchanged) as pennies dwindle. 610 KONA
