- ➤ The Pasco Aviation Museum and Tri-Cities Airport hosted a centennial celebration Monday marking 100 years since the first U.S. airmail flight from Pasco. A Curtiss Swallow biplane flew 460 miles carrying over 9,000 pieces of mail, proving private air transport’s potential and linking the historic flight to United Airlines’ roots. Apple Valley News Now
- ➤ Pasco Police supported Girl Scout Troop 2332 today when Chloe delivered a cookie order with K9 Brit present and the department removed an unauthorized seller from the local streets — residents are encouraged to back the troop as cookie season continues. KFLD

- ➤ On Monday morning at the intersection of George Washington Way and Davenport Street in Richland, a car+bike collision injured a cyclist who was treated and released while police urged both drivers and cyclists to stay alert as outdoor activities increase. KFLD

- ➤ State officials announced $7.3M in clean energy grants for projects including a $2.5M solar facility near Othello and a system in Pasco’s water reuse facility. - ➤ WSDA is offering free Japanese beetle treatment for homeowners in Benton, Franklin, Yakima, and King counties from April through June. Property owners must give permission for the Acelepryn soil treatment (safe for people, pets, and wildlife) to help prevent further infestations. NBC Tri-Cities

- ➤ Water began flowing Monday, and officials asked residents to follow a watering schedule (even-numbered homes water on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday while odd-numbered homes use water on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday) to preserve supplies during drought and to serve all 9,000 customers by April 10. 610 KONA
- ➤ Federal officials have proposed cutting $400 million from Hanford cleanup funding, which means some projects will be delayed while safe operations and treatment facilities continue.
