  • The Tri-Cities Autism Coalition held its annual Our Autism Journey event at the Benton-Franklin Fairgrounds on April 12, drawing thousands of families and more than 100 organizations that provided essential autism resources. Donna Tracy and volunteer Canon Jensen noted strong community support—prompting organizers to begin planning next year’s event.  KEPR

CRIME NEWS

  • A Kennewick driver was arrested on April 12 after he pointed what appeared to be a handgun at a motorist who merged in front of him near N. Arthur St and W. Clearwater Ave — authorities later found a fake gun and his suspended license, leading to charges of Felony Harassment and Driving with a Suspended License in the 3rd degree.  FOX 41 Yakima

HEALTH NEWS

  • On April 12th, health experts recommended simple daily habits for older adults—such as a balanced diet with omega-3 fatty acids, regular exercise, consistent sleep, and engaging in puzzles—to help delay memory loss. They explained that these lifestyle changes along with social connection can strengthen brain health and may slow dementia's effects.  FOX 41 Yakima
