- ➤ Pasco School District will return its replacement levy on the April ballot after it lost by 59 votes in February; the measure is designed to maintain funding for athletics, fine arts, and other student programs without raising taxes. - ➤ Washington State Patrol and WSDOT have reduced the speed limit on Highway 395 from 70 to 65 outside Pasco to lower crash risks along a stretch with 10 deaths in five years + increased patrols and ticketing will follow under Senate Bill 6066. 610 KONA
- ➤ Columbia Park’s boat launch ramp will be upgraded with improved concrete footings and safety features at no cost to Kennewick taxpayers, with work set to begin soon. KEPR
- ➤ Crews began geotechnical drilling this week in Richland to prepare for a planned redesign of the Highway 240 and Aaron Drive intersection — the project aims to improve traffic flow, safety, and access for pedestrians and cyclists while drivers face lane and shoulder closures through early May.
