- ➤ Mirror Ministries, a nonprofit helping local sex trafficking victims and survivors, freed over 48 people in the first quarter of 2025 and will host its first Masquerade Gala on May 2 at 5 p.m. at the Richland Community Center’s Riverside Ballroom to raise funds for a new outreach center — every ticket and donation will expand vital services. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ On Monday, April 21st, Pasco Police arrested a man for allegedly stealing a vehicle when a local worker left it running at his business—using the car's tracking device and his own vehicle to block the suspect at another location and recover the undamaged car. KFLD
- ➤ A Benton County judge sentenced Alexander Callahan—who pleaded guilty on March 25th to two counts of child rape and one count of child molestation committed from May 2011 to March 2014 after fleeing to Mexico and being arrested on December 11th—to 19 years and eight months in prison plus a lifetime of community custody with a no-contact order to protect the victim. - ➤ On Monday, Pasco Police arrested a man for alleged auto theft after a business worker left his running vehicle unattended and later blocked the suspect—who was located using a tracking device—until officers detained him. 610 KONA

- ➤ Governor Bob Ferguson signed a law on April 8th that restricts out-of-state military forces from entering Washington without his permission unless they are mobilized by the president— the law took effect immediately under an emergency clause. KEPR

- ➤ Kadlec held a groundbreaking on April 21 for a new primary care facility in West Richland—set to serve up to 20,000 patients, add 10 new physicians, and ease the region's shortage of primary care providers, with completion expected in spring. KEPR
