- ➤ Kennewick Police said two suspects allegedly stole a cart full of items from WinCo Foods on Friday—anyone with information should contact KPD referencing case 25-030260. NBC Tri-Cities
- ➤ Benton County sheriff’s deputies arrested a prolific car thief near the Kennewick/Benton County line on April 26 after they located a stolen 1996 Honda Accord reported by Pasco Police earlier that day, and officers said the suspect had several warrants and his vehicle contained narcotics. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Rep. April Connors from Kennewick has sponsored two new laws that remove barriers for high school students completing career and technical education programs—House Bill 1414 expands the CTE task force with labor and youth groups, while House Bill 1722 updates rules so 16- and 17-year-olds can test for licenses in fields like EMS and firefighting—with the laws taking effect in late July.
