ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A commercial fire broke out Sunday evening in the 1900 block of North 3rd Avenue and Pasco fire crews with help from Kennewick and Franklin County controlled the blaze by nearly 10:30 p.m.—no one was hurt, some materials were damaged, and the cause remains under investigation. - ➤ On April 28th, a driver in a Subaru Outback lost control after a tire blowout on I-82 near the Richland-Pasco bridge—he was injured and taken to the hospital, with his seatbelt helping reduce the severity of his injuries. Apple Valley News Now
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ The Kennewick Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred Monday night near Safeway on West Clearwater Avenue and North Edison Street—witnesses reported hearing gunshots and seeing three people run from the scene, and a teen wanted for a robbery in Pasco was arrested while two others were detained. - ➤ Pasco City Council moved forward in its search for a new city manager by hiring GMP Consultants to lead recruitment and provide interim management after the February vacancy—Council members set a salary range of 230,000 to 295,000 dollars, a master’s degree and six to 10 years of municipal experience, plus a local residency requirement.
