- ➤ The Flower Farm, a longtime flower shop in Kennewick, is clearing out inventory because a gas station will replace its property soon. - ➤ Pasco’s annual Cinco de Mayo celebration takes place at Peanuts Park today from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with music, food, dancing, and live entertainment, and event organizers include a free shuttle service from Ben Franklin Transit (running every 20 minutes) for easy access. NBC Tri-Cities
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Washington gas prices hit a record high of $5.61 at a Kennewick mini-mart on Friday, May 1, surpassing the previous record of $5.55 set in 2022 as the summer season nears. KFLD
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Between May 8 and 18, the Chandler Pumping Plant (12 miles NE of Prosser) will curtail residential water deliveries for the Kennewick Irrigation Department as a pump is replaced, and residents are advised to deep-water lawns before the shutdown; water will be restored once repairs are complete. 610 KONA
