ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Benton County Fire District 1 responded to a fire on I-82 in Kennewick just before 4 p.m. Wednesday when a blaze burned about 5 acres and crews contained it in about an hour while mopping up hotspots. Apple Valley News Now
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ The Washington State Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle crash on SR 240 in Kennewick and is asking for public help to locate a red SUV seen leaving the scene with rear-end damage—witnesses with information should contact Detective Ryan Sauve. NBC Tri-Cities
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The City of Pasco held an open house and information session at Gesa Stadium on Wednesday to review plans for capital and transportation improvements aimed at strengthening water services, road maintenance, and business support. Residents are encouraged to share feedback by joining the community forum on the city’s website. FOX 41 Yakima
- ➤ Today, nonprofits in Pasco can apply for grants to help low-income residents through the 2026 Community Development Block Grant Program—only eligible proposals are due by May 31. The city expects to receive over $650,000 and will hold two public hearings to gather community input on how funds will be allocated. NBC Tri-Cities
