- ➤ On May 25th, a 40-year-old man from College Place was airlifted to Kadlec Regional Medical Center near Pasco when a car with five occupants left US Highway 12 and rolled due to improper lane usage; a 17-year-old driver was taken to hospital, three passengers were uninjured, and the vehicle was towed away. - ➤ Incyte Diagnostics will lay off 310 workers following a deal with Labcorp to acquire assets including the Richland lab; a state WARN notice announced the layoffs on May 23 and the workers will separate on Aug 4. Tri-Cities Area Journal of Business

- ➤ Kennewick Police responded to a canal crash near South Oak St. and E Bowles Road on Saturday afternoon and later detained a man whose pants were wet from the waist down and who had the key fob in his pocket+ he denied driving the sedan and now faces hit and run charges in Benton County Jail. - ➤ Tri-Tech Skills Center sent its first group of 10 high school students with CNA certificates to WSU Tri-Cities under the new Nursing Bridge program. The students will earn their BSN while completing two years of paid CNA work at partnering hospitals (WSU College of Nursing, Kadlec Regional Medical Center, Trios Health, and Lourdes Health) before direct admission to the pre-licensure program. - ➤ The summer salmon fishing season in the Hanford Reach will begin June 16 as announced by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, with rules allowing fishing until July 15 from Columbia Point to the I-182 Bridge; fishing will continue until July 31 from the I-182 Bridge to below Priest Rapids Dam—anglers are limited to four sockeye salmon daily and must use bank fishing with hand-cast lines.
