Good morning, Pasco.

Construction is underway for the new $40.4M Pasco Aquatics Center in Broadmoor — the 47,000-square-foot facility will feature indoor attractions such as two lazy rivers, water slides, and an indoor natatorium, plus outdoor amenities including a climbing wall that will run seasonally. A design-build process saved funds that allowed the indoor area to expand by 10 percent, and the center is scheduled to open on May 25th.

The Kennewick Fruit + Produce Company Building, one of the Tri-Cities' oldest commercial sites, was officially listed on July 7 by the National Park Service after nomination by the state preservation department.

This new recognition joins other historic ratings + landmarks that mark the region’s commercial growth and early ties to the Hanford facility.

Mortgage rates for a 30-year fixed-rate loan climbed to 6.84% at the end of July 17 due to tariffs and rising inflation on household goods — these economic shifts signal higher borrowing costs that could affect local home buyers.
