ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ On Thursday, Pasco fire crews responded to a house fire that fully engulfed the home and left a family without shelter— the American Red Cross is providing aid, food, supplies, and counseling to help them recover. KEPR
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ The U.S. Postal Service announced a temporary shipping rate increase that will start on October 5 and last until January 18. Local small businesses may pass the added costs on to customers—affecting holiday prices. FOX 41 Yakima
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A Benton County deputy spotted an illegal minibike rider on Columbia Park Trail near Columiba Center Boulevard on August 13 at about 12:49 p.m.—the youth flipped off the officer and sped away, and he will face several citations for riding illegally on public roads. 610 KONA
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Lewis Street overpass in East Pasco is under night construction after cracks were found near its expansion joints, and the contractor will repair it at no additional cost to the city. The work will start at 7 p.m. each night and the lane will open at 6 a.m. daily until the project ends at the end of August — drivers are advised to use alternate routes. KEPR
