- ➤ WSU Tri-Cities will host a three-hour workshop titled 'Generative AI Essentials: Workplace Applications & Ethical Use' at 9:00 a.m. Sept 18 at the Elson S. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The TSA banned cordless curling irons and flat irons with gas cartridges (butane-fueled devices) from carry-on bags in Washington because they can be dangerous if punctured. Travelers can still carry battery-operated hair tools if they follow proper guidelines (including lithium battery rules). 610 KONA
- ➤ Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said Tuesday that millions in federal funds will be withheld from California, Washington and New Mexico if they do not enforce trucker English language rules—an investigation prompted by a fatal Florida crash showed that although thousands of inspections were conducted since the rules took effect in June, only a few drivers were removed from service. The states have 30 days to comply with the safety standards to avoid losing the funding. FOX 41 Yakima
- ➤ Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said that California, Washington and New Mexico will lose millions in federal funds within 30 days—if they do not enforce rules requiring truckers to understand road signs and speak English after a fatal crash in Florida raised safety concerns.
