ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ On September 22, firefighters responded to a grass fire at a home on south Gum Street in Kennewick — they blocked road access and rescued a pet dog from an empty home before extinguishing the fire by about 1:30 p.m., although the home sustained some damage. Apple Valley News Now

- ➤ A variety of fall events take place in the Tri-Cities this week from Sept. 22 to Sept. 28, featuring local art shows, festivals, and community gatherings—such as the Gallery at the Park, Middleton Farms’ Sunflower Festival, and a local dog show—offering residents many options to celebrate the season. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Pasco City Council is weighing a management partnership with the Pasco Public Facilities District for a new aquatic facility under construction in Broadmoor—expected to be completed by Q2—after PPFD Executive Director Matt Watkins presented the project update on September 22. The council will decide by the end of 2025 while studies show the center can cover its operational costs. NBC Tri-Cities
