- ➤ Tri-Cities Animal Services has partnered with local firefighters to host a pet adoption event in Pasco this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1311 S. 18th Avenue — animals are spayed, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped with a $50 fee to support the agency. 610 KONA

- ➤ A Richland man—trapped in his 2009 Volkswagen Rabbit for nearly three days—was rescued on Monday near Anthony Lakes Highway after taking a wrong turn while returning from an appointment in Kennewick, and Baker County law enforcement and emergency teams responded at 9:38 a.m. NBC Tri-Cities
