- ➤ Pasco High School teacher Gabriela Whitemarsh was named 2026 Washington State Teacher of the Year on Sept 30 — an honor that recognizes her excellence in teaching. Apple Valley News Now
- ➤ The Teach the Children Homeschool Resource Center opened its doors on Sept. 30 in West Richland—offering a curriculum preview library, student enrichment classes, and parent training workshops to support local homeschooling families. More than 400 families are expected to use the center during its first year. KEPR
