- ➤ A local youth shelter in Kennewick is expanding its services by opening a new Hope Center next door to serve teens ages 12—17 with 30-, 60-, or 90-day stays so they can return home, while the original facility will now care for teens ages 16—20 to give them time to finish high school. - ➤ In Kennewick this October, Columbia Ability Alliance is connecting people with disabilities to job opportunities — residents like Elliott Souza, who has very limited vision, are getting the support they need.
