- ➤ Volunteers from the LDS Church delivered truckloads of food to families in northern Franklin County today as processing plant closures increased demand among local farm workers. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Dec. 4 at 3:30 p.m., crews (Grant PUD and GrayMar Environmental) resumed cleanup of a 240-gallon oil spill at Priest Rapids Dam after maintenance triggered a leak on Dec. 3; boaters are advised to avoid the river between the dam and Pasco as containment continues. FOX 41 Yakima
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ After seven years of planning and millions in community donations, the Columbia Valley Center for Recovery nears completion in Kennewick. The facility will open in April to provide 24-hour observation, crisis stabilization, withdrawal management and residential services, with recovery housing and youth treatment planned for later phases.
