ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Officials warned on Tuesday, Dec. 9 that rain will push the Yakima River to 15.8 feet by Friday from Benton City to the Delta area, flooding West Richland Golf Course and nearby roads. Residents near the river should prepare for the worst flooding in 30 years (last seen in 1996). 610 KONA
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Franklin County commissioners and state lawmakers met Tuesday at the HAPO Center to call for immediate Highway 395 safety upgrades after two fatal crashes in one week and 10 deaths over five years. - ➤ Chiawana High School senior guard Baylee Maldonado will play at Central Washington University after scoring 19 and 24 points in the team's first two wins.
