- ➤ Port officials announced a $20.8 million plan to more than double Reimann Industrial Center by purchasing 73 acres for $7.2 million and closing on an additional 251 acres by November 2030, with the expansion set to boost industrial capacity along Highway 395 near Pasco. - ➤ Entrepreneur Bradley Wilson returned to his hometown to launch Apcore Logistics and build a local Amazon delivery team. Operating from the new Pasco station, his company now moves around 20,000 packages daily and will expand routes during the busy holiday season — boosting regional business growth. - ➤ Precision Aircraft Solutions (award-winning) is the only local helicopter operator, offering services including cherry drying, flight instruction, photography tours and Easter egg drops at Prosser Airport. - ➤ Scout Clean Energy is moving ahead with a revised wind farm plan that calls for fewer, taller turbines with larger blades & possible placement closer to Tri-Cities after state restrictions over hawk nests. The western end will begin construction before end of 2025 while legal challenges stall the eastern part. Tri-Cities Area Journal of Business
- ➤ The planned Cascade Advanced Energy Complex near Richland will store spent fuel from SMRs (small modular reactors) in purpose-built canisters for a 60-year operation, while draft amendments to the Nuclear Waste Policy Act will address long-term disposal challenges and local tribal concerns about nuclear waste safety. - ➤ Richland's council approved an option agreement with Atlas Agro for 275 acres at 2100 Horn Rapids Road— the agreement includes a $250,000 fee— to advance plans for five data center buildings that will support a zero-carbon fertilizer plant and create 100 jobs, with construction starting in 2027. - ➤ WSDOT announced more than 30 road closures statewide after heavy flooding, with US 2 closed between Skykomish and Tumwater Canyon and US 12 damaged near Naches — officials say the Yakima River may recede today in the Tri-Cities. KFLD

- ➤ Doctors can use a new 15-minute hepatitis C test developed by Northwestern University to diagnose infections and start treatment during office visits. The test, which agreed 100% with lab-based results in independent evaluation, may boost same-day care and improve HCV outcomes. FOX 41 Yakima

REAL ESTATE NEWS
- ➤ Nearly 750 acres of farmland north of Pasco were auctioned for more than $14 million after over 50 participants registered for bids on 11 tracts featuring homes, irrigated cropland, and a dairy facility that supplied milk to Darigold.
