- ➤ The Pasco School District is now accepting applications for Orion High School and Delta High School for the 2026 — 2027 school year. Current 8th graders must apply by Feb. 13 at 3:00 p.m., with Orion offering 160 seats and Delta offering 115 seats. NBC Tri-Cities
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Floodwaters in West Richland are receding with levels expected to fall below flood stage by Monday afternoon; however, an incoming Atmospheric River will bring heavy rain and mountain snow that could raise the Yakima River by early Thursday, prompting safety precautions and road closures. - ➤ DOE official Anthony Pugliese met with Pacific Northwest National Laboratory leaders during his first visit to the Tri-Cities to discuss plans for moving lab research into the marketplace. - ➤ West Van Giesen Bridge is closed for a structural re-inspection after flooding caused the Yakima River to rise, and Van Giesen Street from Terminal Drive to 38th is also blocked, police said yesterday — drivers are advised to avoid flooded roads until further notice. NBC Tri-Cities
